Emphasizing the value of cultural heritage, its promotion, and transmission to future generations, the parties agreed to collaborate and carry out joint efforts to prepare the nomination of “Areni-1 Cave and its surrounding winemaking landscape” for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.
Deputy Minister Alfred Kocharyan highlighted the importance of signing this memorandum, noting that, thanks to joint efforts, new monuments have been registered in the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List after years of hiatus, and this process must be continuous:
“This work is also aimed at increasing the country’s visibility and promoting tourism”, said the Deputy Minister, expressing gratitude to the partners for their important joint efforts.
